TRYOUTS AT BROOKFIELD EAST HIGH SCHOOL ON

JULY 27, 2013 (10:00-NOON) AND JULY 28, 2013 (1:00-3:00) 

Varsity head coach for Brookfield East High School Baseball, Bill Woodring and his coaching staff are proud to announce 2014 tryouts for Spartan Youth Baseball Association, Inc. (SYBA), grades 2 to 8.

Brookfield Junior Spartans Youth Baseball (SYBA) organization is a developmental select feeder baseball program to Brookfield East High School (BEAST) baseball, promoting young athletes to reach their full potential through teaching the fundamentals of baseball, teaching sportsmanlike competition and good citizenship for such players; to develop qualities of leadership, teamwork, discipline, quickness of mind, physical well-being, moral, as well as, physical courage.

The SYBA program includes:

• Coaches and players selected, evaluated and trained under the direction and leadership of Coach Woodring and the BEAST coaching staff;
• Junior Spartan players will have access to Brookfield East High School baseball facilities;
• Players will play within their own grade;
• Season from May 1st to mid-July;
• Majority of league games and tournaments are held locally;
• Continuous batter order encouraging player development;
• Games for grades 2-4, approximately 20-30 games, for grades 5-8 approximately 30-40 games;
• Time commitment per week is a total of 4 days between practice and/or games;
• Spring, winter and/or fall camps/clinics available for all Junior Spartans, directed by Coach Woodring’s baseball staff;
• Registration fee of $500 includes, uniforms, league play, tournament play and show your Spartan spirit at Junior Spartan night at a BEAST Varsity baseball game.
